09/05 - Optimist: 1st Autonomous Region’s Test of the 2005-2006 season

This weekend the Royal sailing Club of Valencia hosts the 1st Autonomous Region’s Test for the Optimist class of the 2005-2006 season. This test is organised by the Royal Sailing Club of Valencia and the Sailing Federation of the Autonomous Region of Valencia. The number of vessels competing exceeds 150, which is an all-time record. It must be pointed out that the number of children’s licences has increased by 34% as regards last year in the Autonomous Region of Valencia. The tests began on Saturday 4 September at 14'00 hours with representatives from a total of 16 sailing clubs. The forecast for Saturday is cloudy with light southerly winds, while Sunday will be sunnier with winds fluctuating between 7 and 9 knots. Regatta announcement
